Finland has two official languages--Finnish and Swedish! You can learn
either or both this year.......
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board offers an International
Languages Program which is available to residents within the boundaries
of the Board for only a small administrative fee. Classes are available
in Finnish and Swedish at Glebe Collegiate HS, and are held Saturdays
mornings from 9 AM to 12:30 PM, throughout the school year. These
classes are open to adults and high school students, and they are credit
courses. If you are interested in these classes contact Tuulikki by
email. Classes begin September 18th and continue until the end of May.
The Swedish classes have been running for 13 years. The Finnish classes
have been made available when there is sufficient registration. Contact instructor
